Avec delivered an end-to-end consulting and test management solution that streamlined the regression suite, defined a clear test strategy, strengthened internal capability, and improved execution efficiency through structured workflows and SpiraTeam management. The upgrade went live successfully with strong run and pass rates across priority and full-suite test cases, while reducing the overall engagement window from 10 weeks to 4 and enabling business teams to continue day-to-day operations with minimal disruption.

A finance department of a large professional service organisation was struggling with several manual repetitive processes. These processes were starting to frustrate employees, and together with the increasing volumes meant that the error rates and thus rework were on the increase. They had heard of Robotics Process Automation (RPA), but were reluctant to investigate automation because they thought it was out of reach for small to medium size businesses and would require substantial development effort.

Avec revolutionised Equity Venture Partners' (EVP) investment assessment process by developing an AI tool to streamline the identification of prospective investment opportunities. This innovative system harnessed data from over 18,000 company websites, enabling EVP to significantly narrow their field of interest from thousands of companies to a more targeted list of 500 potential investments. The implementation of the AI tool led to a transformation of EVP's investment strategy, allowing senior investors to focus their expertise on the most promising prospects and resulting in an improved investment strategy.

In 2023, a NSW government agency engaged Avec to provide advisory and implementation services for their Microsoft Power Platform tenancy and associated Azure resources. The objective was to establish a governance framework that ensured compliance, security, and scalability across the organisation, while enabling innovation through automation and low-code development.The engagement was structured into multiple stages, beginning with requirement validation and discovery, followed by design, implementation, and governance framework establishment. The scope included the creation of new development environments, automation of IT provisioning processes, and the design of a Center of Excellence (CoE) to embed sustainable governance practices.

A government department faced a complex challenge with its data management and reporting initiative, requiring seamless project management, precise resource scheduling, and proactive stakeholder engagement across five interconnected projects. Avec provided comprehensive project management and program support services, resulting in a successful delivery that exceeded the client’s expectations.

In 2025, Rise by Talent engaged with Avec to deliver two intensive, one-week learning modules designed to introduce a cohort of young Māori and Pasifika talent to practical skills in Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The goal was to provide a foundation of knowledge, build hands-on capability, and instil the confidence required to pursue careers in the I.T. workforce.Avec’s role encompassed designing and delivering structured training, mentoring the cohort, and facilitating opportunities for participants to present their work to senior figures in New Zealand’s Data and AI ecosystem.

Avec successfully streamlined a leading retail bank's mortgage lending processing by implementing Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to automate the transfer of home loan applications from branch and broker channels into their core banking systems.
